REMO, a rallying VW Beetle, recently took part in the 30th Winter Marathon. This event covers a route of over 400km - including 9 Dolomite passes and over 60 precision time trials.

For the first time the Winter Marathon was scheduled over 2 legs: The first started on the 18th January at night with cars racing through Val Rendena, and the second leg starting the following morning, taking in the famous streets and passes of Trentino-Alto Adige, capped off with the magic of the Dolomites at sunset.

The Cool-Flo sponsored Beetle, piloted by driver Lorenzo Bosi and co-driver Mattia Carcelli, raced for an impressive 12 hours non-stop with one hundred cars, including Porsche, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Triumph and many other marques.

REMO crossed the finish line 50th out of 102 cars.Lorenzo says, "We had an epic time! My highlight was after 6 hours just in the middle of the race on the mountain Pass Pordoi at over 2km above sea level. Outside there was 2 metres of snow, the snow was everywhere! Temperature was -12 degrees Celsius. It was a unique experience!"
